0.609 mg/ml Halofuginone lactate (equivalent to 0.5 mg/ml Halofuginone base)
Administer 2 ml per 10 kg body weight.
The dose should be adjusted accordingly in lighter or heavier animals.
35–45 kg body weight → 8 ml daily for 7 days
45–60 kg body weight → 12 ml daily for 7 days
Used for the prevention and treatment of diarrhoea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum in newborn calves.
For prevention of diarrhoea, it should be administered within the first 24–48 hours after birth. When administered within 24 hours after the onset of diarrhoea, it is used to reduce the severity of diarrhoea.
Calves must not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment period and for 13 days after the last administration.
