Turkish manufacturer Bavet Pharmaceuticals which had partnered up in 2012 for 50 percent of its shares with NBK (National Bank of Kuwait) -one of the largest financial institutions in the Middle East- has now bought back all of its shares.

Bavet Pharmaceuticals has been active in the fields of animal and environmental health since 2000, together with group companies Arion and IPM Pharmaceuticals they continue to grow.

Bavet Pharmaceuticals owns 201 product licenses and provides services to veterinarians, veterinary technicians, animal breeders and local authorities. Although its main field of activity is distribution of veterinary medicine, Bavet Pharmaceuticals has a wide product portfolio that includes complementary feed additives and environmental health products as well.

Group company Arion is the first manufacturing site in its field with GMP certification and currently meets 25% of the market’s production demand. It is also the very first and only animal health products manufacturer to receive the R&D Center status in March 2017.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is the first investor in the Gulf region and one of the largest financial institution in the Middle East to come to Turkey in the beginning of 2000s. In the same period Bavet Pharmaceuticals has caught their attention which resulted in a 50 percent partnership in 2012. The mutual know-how on both sides has contributed to the expansion of both companies in their own fields. NBK has many investments
in various countries including significant assets in Turkey.

Now, after 8 years Turkish manufacturer Bavet Pharmaceuticals, which has an important place in the animal and environmental health market, is retrieving 50 percent of its shares from NBK. While continuing its investments, Bavet Pharmaceuticals is also preparing for Initial Public Offering.
